BS Verkstäder AB

Since its inception in 1978, BS Verkstäder has developed from renting out skylifts to becoming a leading player in the life extension and maintenance of railway vehicles. The company was founded by Lars-Göran Schiller and Rolf Beijbom, and has focused on extending the life of rail vehicles since the early 1990s. Based in Falköping and as part of the railway cluster in Skaraborg, the business has gradually expanded to include a variety of specialist skills, all in order to offer customized comprehensive solutions.

BS Verkstäder works with all types of railway vehicles – from yellow machines and freight wagons to electric and diesel locomotives, railcars and museum vehicles. The company performs, among other things, collision damage repairs, ETCS installations, welding according to EN 15085 and safety inspections. The production facility includes modern workshop facilities, a roundhouse with 24 spaces, a long test track and a washing and painting hall. The company has been awarded a Gazelle company by Dagens Industri on three occasions for its growth and stable finances, and is currently owned by seven partners. The ambition is to grow in line with market needs and continue to keep Sweden's railway vehicles rolling longer.
